Action
Sako 85 actions come in six different sizes, providing reliable function and custom feel for each caliber. Featuring a one piece three lug bolt design and controlled cartridge feed system, the Sako 85 provides a vault like action with consistently jam free feeding. The 60? throw of the bolt handle allows for smooth rapid repeated firing. Every Sako 85 action includes integral tapered scope mounts and an extended recoil lug mounted on the inside of the for-end. The Magazines are locked in place by the Total Control Latch which prevents the magazine from being inadvertently knocked out of the rifle.
Barrel
Barrel blanks are drilled, honed, cold- hammer forged, and individually inspected by master gunsmiths. Twist rates are chosen for each caliber to optimize accuracy and bullet performance. All Sako 85 Carbonlight barrels are free floated, threaded, and are topped with a non-reflective finish.
Trigger
The Sako 85 Carbonlight comes with a single-stage trigger adjustable from 2 to 4 pounds. The trigger weight can easily and quickly be adjusted from within the magazine well.

Stock
Sako 85 Carbonlight rifles are built CFRP technology using of a durable and ultra-lightweight carbon fiber. A soft touch coating is applied to maintain a steady grip in call condition. The stock includes a Monte Carlo style cheek piece and a right hand palm swell, which provides a perfectly fitted rifle to increase accuracy and offer better control.
